Totally beat

I'm knackered. I'm now 5 days into my new training programme and I'm really feeling the effects (despite starting on a much easier level). The squats on Wednesday set me up for a long haul as they were tough. I haven't done a decent set of squats for the best part of a year due to one foot injury after another, so I knew what I was letting myself in for. I wasn't feeling too bad until I did a 30 minute run on Thursday which pretty much wiped me out. I'm still not breathing great unfortunately and I have a very irritating cough. It's going to be strange doing a programme with no rest days and once I'm back into it properly, a squat session followed by a hill session is going to be a killer, but after 12 weeks of this I should be a hell of a lot fitter and ready to do my 24 hour race (I live in hope!).

The time line therapy I did on Thursday was not at all what I was expecting. It was all about going back to the very first event you could remember that made you sad/angry/hurt/fearful and guilty. The theory is that you address that first event and the subsequent events seem much less of an issue. It seemed to work so we shall see. I'm going to have a thing called "Part integration" done next week. No idea what all that's about yet!
