Cadence

Tonight I did some deep water running intervals and decided to do the harder 2 minute sections at as close to my "road running" cadence of 182 as possible. My God, it was really tough and I only managed to get to 176... but I suppose that isn't too bad considering the water resistance along with the ankle weights. I shall keep trying! I know one thing, I was completely shattered when I was finished.

Today I wasn't too busy at work and so booked hotels ready for a couple of days away (as an alternative to Basel) in May at a lovely spa hotel close to Thorpe Park (always wanted to go there for an adrenaline junkie day), and I also booked a nice Hotel for the Clyde Stride. I then popped to the shop and got myself a step for the stepping exercises I'm doing at the moment. I'm hoping to do an hour of that tomorrow and now have a more suitable platform to do it. (Oh how I regret throwing away that Reebok step a few years ago). I'm getting to the point though that the gym is full and the exercise equipment is starting to spill into other rooms... such as the Swiss ball being stashed behind the sofa in the corner and now the step will have to be stored in my bedroom. I could start my own fitness business at this rate. :-) It's great though, because I have everything in my house that I need and don't have to waste time and money going to a gym.

Graeme is making tea tonight. We've eaten relatively healthy this week and tonight is no exception. I love relaxing while someone does all the work in the kitchen. :-) Then after an hour or so of it settling, there are still core exercises to do!!!
