Got up this morning and I could barely move. Everything from my neck down ached like hell. How was I going to do everything today, I wondered.
Every time I had to walk to the reception area at work, I winced as my hips seemed to creak as they moved... and every time I had to lift my captains case up to go into clients houses, I groaned in agony.
I got home and looked to see my schedule is a 1 hour run followed by a one and a half hour yoga class. So, putting on my shorts and "sun" regalia, off I trotted into the heat. The first mile wasn't too comfortable, but I settled down after that and before I knew it I was home and couldn't remember running most of it. I then got ready and went to yoga.
It was a stand in teacher today, as our current one is on honeymoon. I have to say I took an instant dislike to her. She used me to demonstate the "dog" poses (which I had informed her I found very difficult because of a broken elbow years ago... and especially so after circuits yesterday)... so I got the delight of doing them 3 or 4 times instead of just the once. I could have quite cheerfully given her a bat!
So, I'm finally back home, and I must admit that my legs and hips feel a lot better. My upper body is in sheer turmoil though. It doesn't like my new training at all. ;-)
