Today I did a 45 minute run and wore my new Inov-8 cap. It was fab, I think I'll get another one. I like the terry towelling band inside to keep the sweat from dripping into your eyes. I'd taken an Elete Tablyte before I left the house. You had to take it with 400ml of liquid, and I instantly felt bloated and uncomfortable and wished I hadn't bothered. However, by the time I got to the spa, (I run around the area of the spa on a Wednesday so I can go straight in and do weights afterwards) although my stomach looked like I was 6 months pregnant and all bloated, I didn't feel uncomfortable anymore.
It was a lovely day, and around 18.5 degrees. It was within the first mile that there was a fairly steep hill that gave me my new HR Max of 190. (I checked the software when I got home, so I know it's not a spike in the readings).
The rest of the run was very comfortable (especially when I got the chance to run in the shade), and it wasn't until I was back outside the spa that I realised I wasn't at all thirsty and hadn't given a drink a second thought. Now that's unusual for me, as when it's warm I want to have a drink within a mile.
I went straight up into the gym and got a cup of water to sip whilst I did some weights. I did my squats (which quite frankly don't tire me out at all so I'm not surprised this is about to get changed), and then I did deadlifts which did tire my legs out. I managed quite a few at 27 KG, so that's definitely improving too.
I also noticed this morning that my iThlete readings are always blue or green and very rarely amber, which is great as it shows I'm recovering from everything really quickly. I can't believe only 2 days ago I could barely move after all the circuits and today I don't feel like I even did them. Long may it continue!
That's brilliant that you're seeing/feeling results already...it must be very motivating :-)
