Shy bairns get nee broth, the saying goes up here, so when I was emailed about help needed for the York Half and Full Marathon that is being organised for May 1st 2011, I scanned down the list of jobs and saw my dream job missing.... MEDALS!
Now, I've seen some lovely medals, and I've seen some bloody awful ones (The Barnes Green one has to be the worst medal I own). So, would they accept my help to design and organise the medals? I emailed to see if they would.
This afternoon, I got an email saying they would love to have me on board and could I go to the meeting next week.
I'm ecstatic... everyone is in for a cool medal...once I've designed it of course :-)
And to cap it off... I've just had a phone call about my new car. It gets delivered next Monday morning. Yipppeeee!!!
I've spent an age trying to work out how to post a comment and now I think I've sussed it but can't remember what I wanted to say!
