Well, I can see I'm going to have to buy a column for Belle before long and start wrapping medals around that too. She's looking decidedly busty with only about 12 medals on. :-)
Today, my iThlete showed an amber day, amber week and amber month. I'm not surprised really, as although this week has been low mileage, the quality of the routes and sessions have been really good (for me!). So, no run today, but I did a circuit workout which really had me aching by the end of it.
I now intend to do slow easy running for the rest of the week and get myself ready for Windy. I'm really looking forward to it. It's nice to be able to go to a race and not be arsed at the possibility of taking 6 hours to finish. I want to treat it as a really lovely run that will build stamina and strength for the future. Maybe doing stuff like this will make the Para's 10 in September more bearable!
Great pic! And 'only' 12?! Well done with the circuits. How many times a week are you going to do them?
ReplyDeleteAnd while I'm here, can you point your phone just above your right knee, about 10 0'clock as you're looking down at it and let me know what muscle that is please? Ta. x
That's the VMO Paula. (vastis medialis). It's apparently the one that most runners don't strengthen enough. I have the opposite problem and it's too strong. I need to strengthen the muscle opposite it to balance it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on 3 sessions a week, starting after the marathon though!
