Yep... I know what you're going to say... Running when you said you wouldn't... however... (please listen to excuses before judging) ;-)
I always knew when it came to this fortnight I would get to each Wednesday, after doing intervals on Tuesday and being on my 6th running day, and it would come out RED on the iThlete. It has always been my intention when this happened to consider the number of HRV given and judge it from there. I was only -1 from yesterday so therefore thought intervals hadn't been too damaging. I also have to run on tired legs this next couple of weeks, to get my body used to the extra knackeredness and so decided to run even more slow to make sure I was ok.
I did the 12 miles and had a really lovely run. It was great to run a different route, as Coast Road is severely doing my head in. I've had to resort to this because of the dark nights, so it was fantastic to do a route that would normally be far too dark and secluded.
I felt pretty good throughout, apart from the last 2 miles due to eating 2 shot bloks that were orange flavour with caffeine. I went really dizzy... I love coffee and could drink it all day, but a bit of caffeine during a run is a no no.
So, I get a rest day tomorrow which is very welcomed!
