And now for a cutback week...

Yes! 53 miles done and dusted. I'm rather pleased with myself. 102 miles in 2 weeks isn't bad, is it? And now I get the bonus of a 40 mile cutback week. Oh how joyous! :-)

I've just scanned over my schedule (which I worked out, so have no-one else to blame but myself for it) and am dreading the tiredness that the 64 and 70 mile weeks will bring... especially as the 70 miles follows the week with the 64. However... it's 2 weeks of knackerdness that will reap huge rewards (hopefully!)

Todays 6 mile run was met with trepidation this morning, as I really didn't think I had it in me as I got out of bed. My 13 year old son greeted my running attired self with "Didn't you run 20 miles yesterday? And 8 the day before that?" When I told him I needed to do 6 today, he looked up, cogs clearly turning and said "Oh my God, that's 34 miles in 3 days...you're mental"

The run went magnificently well, I even caught sight of my pace on a downhill stretch showing 9.32mm. Overall, my pace was 10.47mm... I expected to have to walk at some point, but I felt good and didn't need to.

I can't stop eating! And vegetables are what I seem to be craving after long runs now. Makes a change from curry! :-)
