Uncontrollable

I did a 3 mile run/walk today and was amazed at the difference from yesterday. There was no knee ache and my calf had no tightness either (shows stretching works well!). My hamstring was a bit tight, so I'll pay particular attention to that today when stretching.

Someone posted a link on Vegan Runners today for next years Centurion 100 mile race. I was instantly hooked and read everything about it. There's a 28 hour cut off, they recommend a crew, and you are allowed pacers from 51 miles (and you're allowed more than one, although not at the same time). You have to meet criteria for qualification to get in, but ironically I have already done that as Bangalore is within the terms of that. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer a faster qualifying time than that, but I would have the rest of the year to get that!

I emailed William and Shaun and asked if I was being too ambitious to enter and quickly got a reply that I wasn't being too ambitious at all as I have another year to gain more experience and I have already done 73 miles in 22 hours and 30 minutes. William ended the email with, "Let's go for it" and I can tell you that my excitement level is uncontrollable! The last time I was this excited about a race was when I entered Bangalore. :-) :-) :-)
