I've looked at the elevation of the route and basically shit myself to see Mapmyrun categorized it as a grade 5 (which is flipping hilly!!!). The only consolation is Loch Ness Marathon is only 500 feet less, and that's over 26.2 miles, so I hope I won't notice as much over 69 miles. (I live in hope!!!).
Everyone on the Runners World thread are also shitting themselves, but their panic is over the kit and the possible kit inspection. Apart from the issue with the head torch, I'm not concerned about that as I have that all sorted. They are all stressing over not having waterproof trousers, but I have them and they are light as a feather. I won't even notice their weight in the backpack!
The weather is going to be shit. It's looking like rain all day on the whole course. I hate rain, but I have to put that aside. As long as it isn't sideways rain that will be ok.
And I have lost my motivation to do any training. This is usual for me and is more apparent the more I'm shitting myself about an up and coming race. Don't get me wrong, I'm really really looking forward to The Wall, but I'm very nervous about it too. At least I'm not going into it with rose tinted glasses!!!
