I had an email from William giving me the thumbs up to start doing my normal training programme (albeit at an easier/lesser pace to begin with) and I started that today. I did a lighter set of deadlifts (although heavier than I've done for a long time, culminating with a set of 3 reps at 50KG) and a good upper body session.
After a bath and recovery drink, I wanted to go back and do something else. Of course, I didn't, because I'm not stupid, but I wanted to. I have felt like this all week and wished I could do something else within half an hour of finishing each exercise. This is a good thing... motivation is high, recovery seems to be going OK (although why shouldn't it... I've barely broke into a run yet!) and I'm literally sleeping like a log. I tend to go to bed and know nothing until around 8 hours later. Apparently the cat sat on me during the night last night and was meowing and started walking up and down me trying to get my attention. Graeme said she even rubbed her face and neck on my cheek and I still didn't wake up. That's quite unlike me, I'm normally a very light sleeper.
So, all is good in the Cabbey camp! I didn't get to try my new trainers today as I got the email from William late last night about reverting back to my usual plan, and Sunday isn't normally a running day. I get to have a go tomorrow though. :-)
