Well, it's been a mad few days, what with being back at work and seeing people who didn't want to visit the relief dispenser and would have rather waited for me (sounds good doesn't it? But, I think it's just because I know what has happened in the past and they are too scared for somebody new to go messing around with their hearing aid settings).
Add to this the nightmare that has been sorting out arrangements for New Year and the dog sitting, and you have yourself a few stressful days!
Plus, I'm waiting to hear from William and Shaun (sometime in the next day or two I expect) about their opinions on the races I've picked for next year. Every time I look at the website for the main race, a shiver of fear runs through me because it ain't going to be easy... but you know me... I wouldn't want to do it unless it seemed a virtual impossibility for my current fitness levels.
Shaun emailed the other day to say he thought the quad issues were probably due to nursing heat cramps and having to walk so much (so using different muscles without the relief of changing to running to rest them). He said he didn't think they were weak (per se) but if they are they won't be for long, as they are changing the training. He warned me I may love/hate the change 50/50... so that sounds good doesn't it? ... No pain no gain!
