A coin on its edge

Last night we had an absolutely gorgeous meal at Blue Ginger, and after the fraught day I'd had, we decided to have a glass of Bangalore wine. It was lovely. We then asked for a DVD which comes complimentary here, and were brought popcorn and coke cola to go with it... Very nice touches like these make this hotel a cut above!

So, waking up this morning for our last run was not easy. I was so tired and we lay in bed for 20 minutes unable to get out because we just wanted to go back to sleep. I really wasn't looking forward to running anyway, especially if it was up to the usual standard that so far has happened while being here. I went to the loo to find I was really really dehydrated. What a turn around from the day before, it must be the wine! I'm like a coin precariously placed on its side...the slightest thing done wrong and I topple over! Oh well, I had no more plans to drink alcohol before Sunday evening anyway, so no matter!

Going out for our run I told Graeme that I wanted to run very slowly and not exert myself too much. He agreed this was a good idea. The first 15 minute run was superb, the pollution was neither here nor there today and having the ability to fill your lungs with air instead of fumes was great. The 5 minute walk finished, we carried on back to the hotel not even noticing the high kerbs and we chatted most of the way. I felt it was much cooler today, but it turns out it was only 1 degree cooler than yesterday's run and was 17 degrees.

This afternoon we did the "token" tourist thing and went to Bangalore Palace... So that's the culture part of the trip done and dusted. It got to 27 degrees which didn't really bother me at all, so being here before the race is definitely helping even more. Forecast for Sunday is also 27 degrees and partly cloudy, so that's ok!
