Information seems to be coming through each day now for the ultra. Today I received an email with a link to a page saying "What are some of our runners doing to prepare" for the race. There were about 6 people, all doing different distances, and all commenting on their training. What I found a bit alarming was a question posed to all... "How are you preparing for the technical trail you will face?". Technical trail? Oh dear, that sounds quite hard doesn't it? I seem to have conveniently 'forgotten' along the way that the tag line for this race is "IT'S TOUGH.....ARE YOU?"
I noticed a lot of the people questioned were also concerned about the heat. If you live and run in India already and are worried about the heat, what does that mean for a pasty faced Brit that has to wear a big winter coat for work already?
Oh well... whatever... nee point stressing over it all now, is there? I noticed a few peoples' targets had probably a similar pace to mine (that pace being very conservative and saving up some energy for later in the day) so I'm sure we will all be out there fighting it together. Just reading some comments, I have a feeling I'm going to meet some very nice people when I get over there.
