I'm one of those sad people that when I have nothing pressing to do, I'll often look at places/races/hotels/holidays around the world and put them on a wish list. Today I happened upon a website that was called "Leading hotels around the world". I was gawping at some of the beautiful places there was on there, and all of a sudden I saw an image that was familiar... familiar because it was the hotel that we are staying in when we go to India. If I wasn't excited before, I certainly am now... wow! The photos of the grounds/rooms/facilities were out of this world and I even got to look at all of the menus from the restaurants on site. I was delighted to see that about 70% of the offerings were vegetarian with a little note saying which contained wheat/gluten/soy/nuts... very thorough.
I'm half packed for tomorrows' trip to Amsterdam, and the dog wasn't looking impressed at all. He wouldn't leave me alone this morning and kept putting his head on my lap and looking up at me very sadly. This amazes me as he has never seemed to give a damn before now... maybe he's learning that suitcases mean we are not going to be there. They aren't daft, are they?
So, my cold has progressed to the "mucus" stage. I'm not stressing over it though, there's no point! I am now quite looking forward to the race itself as it's another opportunity to get away from the grind of my local running routes. I feel very uninspired to run where I live at the moment, and find every opportunity to run somewhere new a great boost.
