Today I finally organised a European travel insurance card (better late than never) and have downloaded all the info for the Indian visa. That's going to cost a bomb for the two of us!
I read up all the info on what you can and can't have as a vegetarian. Seems fish is off the menu as my mam said, "Oh, so it's not OK to kill a cow but OK to kill a fish". She had a point, after reading up about what happens with fish slaughter I won't be able to eat that either. I can't have jelly (won't be gutted there) however Haribos will be a sad miss in my life!
I suddenly became worried about the Torq gels I have recently spent about £40 on and my recovery drink, however they are both suitable for even vegans, so that's OK! Phew!
My stomach has been in such horrendous pain all yesterday and today. It spurred me on to finally sort out getting the depo pill injection. I rang today and they can do it on Monday. If I don't get it done I shall be in excruciating pain for the Amsterdam marathon and also Bangalore ultra as they are spaced out perfectly. Maybe the pure agony I have experienced over the last couple of days was a blessing in disguise to finally get me to book an appointment and get it over and done with!
I came home tonight after not training properly for a couple of weeks, and I went on the treadmill. I figured if I go onto the treadmill and my stomach hurt (or my shins which were very painful after the 22 miler in Lyon) then I could stop. I was pleased to get through the 45 minutes unscathed and actually felt better for it. It's time to get the training back to where it was, so I also did my squats (although this was a lighter session than normal because I haven't done them for weeks). I feel so much better and hopefully this is the beginning of everything getting back to normal.
I think my new diet will prove to be inadvertently better too, as it looks like I will have to cut out quite a lot of the rubbish I currently eat. As Graeme said to me tonight though... Well, you never see a fat vegetarian do you?
