This morning I took Lincoln for a 3 mile walk and wore my XL vest... it's been a while since I did that. Then after lunch I went straight up to the loft and did my deadlift session, upper body weights and finished off with 15 minutes in the sauna. So, that means that although yesterdays long run was a bit of a wash out because of the worry over the calves, the rest of my training has been done on schedule since Friday. It's the best I've managed for weeks so I'm hopeful things are getting back on track.
Last night I ordered a Lumie lightbox. Graeme and I have talked about getting one for a couple of years now, and I finally got around to ordering one. I have decided to run early on a Monday and Wednesday (I can't do my intervals on Tuesday at 5am... I think the neighbours would complain about the noise so early). Unfortunately it means I have to go cold turkey tomorrow and get up at 5am all on my own with no help at all. It's going to be bloody tough.
I also start my Iyengar yoga class tomorrow night. I have found a place that has one of the teachers from the spa teaching on a Monday night. He's called Gordon and although I haven't been to any of his classes I've been told he's very good. I know one thing... while I did Iyengar yoga I didn't have any injuries or tightness in my body at all, so it's time to go back!
Graeme has just come back from the shop and has waltzed in with absolutely loads of vegetarian food... isn't he lovely? Whoever would have thought you could get Salmon fish-less fish cakes!
