Old lady syndrome

When I got back from my run on Saturday and had to have a nap I felt like a toddler. Today I feel like an old lady!

Getting up yesterday I was so pleased to feel completely fine and not have any after effects of the previous days running, so when it came to my deadlifts and upper body sessions I gave it my all and really pushed myself. Even when it came to the sauna afterwards I chose to put a towel over the top of it to cause even less heat to escape (which made it feel quite intollerable if I'm honest). I managed 16 minutes in it before nearly passing out!

So, today as I dragged myself from my bed after an amazing nights sleep with no disturbances, I walked downstairs and felt like a creaky old woman. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is hurting today. I feel like I have shoulder pressed a large human being (when in fact it was a measly 20KG instead) and I know the run tonight will be one of small gingerly taken steps!
