Negative people

I've been a tad annoyed today. Somebody I know told me they thought I had no idea what I was up against trying to run in the heat of India, and I was due for a shock. (I must point out this person is not in the running community). I explained about how I would be heat training and doing everything humanly possible to sort that out and quite frankly I felt very prepared so far in that I have learnt as much about the course and conditions as I can. This received a "Hmmmm, I still don't think you know what's going to hit you".

I was livid. Why don't people mind their own bloody business. Well, I was going to wait until the end of next month to buy some trainers that will hopefully be perfect for the ultra, but that persons comment made me think (and excuse my language) "Fuck it". I ordered them and they have been posted today. I will start trying them out next week.

I will finish todays blog with a quote I've recently read that I found inspiring....
"Hard things take time to do.... Impossible things take a little longer"
Yes, I admit I'm not good in the heat... but I'm not scared to work hard to try and fix it!
