Second day

Today is the second day of doing my full training plan. By "full" I mean the training I was supposed to do pre-injury.
Yesterday I did my deep water running intervals which were hard work. The lifeguards are getting used to me being there now and even point out where is best to train and where to avoid all the kids. I don't even get as many strange looks now... seems my suit and shoes are now old news!
Then I came home and did my core session. I manged to do 100 "steps" for my first set of air borne running and I felt absolutely knackered after them. I could even feel my pulse in my head because I had worked so hard!

Today I did my 1 hour run in my XL vest and attempted a 10:1 run/walk ratio. I managed very well but had to have an extra 1 minute walk break at 50 minutes as I needed to take my inhaler. I was really tired when I got back home but pulled myself together and went over to my mams so we could do our run together. She did her first 1.5 mile run/walk and as she plodded along in sheer agony because her buttocks were hurting so much, I made her laugh by telling her she's going to have a tiny arse if she keeps going.
When we got back, my dad overheard me telling her about my Garmin and how she didn't need one as expensive as mine and could get a cheaper one (which she said she would love). No sooner had she spoken the words and my dad was stood with a pen and paper asking me to write down what mine was called so he could get it for her. She was chuffed, and as he said to her, "Well, I hope you're going to keep this running lark up if I'm about to spend £300 on this", I was really pleased to see her look at him in total shock and say, "Of course I'm going to keep it up... I absolutely love it!" :-)
