Success

I went to my mams today and got her to do some core and upper body work. I thought it strange that she didn't cope well with a Swiss ball at all... we stuck to doing stuff on the floor instead. She is aching quite a bit from the 1 mile run yesterday... she said her stomach, back, arms and legs were really hurting and it was only her face that felt OK. I have a feeling she is like me and has a bit of a "No pain no gain" attitude. She is looking forward to tomorrow when we get to run again.

We watched the London Marathon on the TV and I honestly expected to feel quite depressed by it all, but that wasn't the case. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it made me want to run even more. I actually wished I was there running it!

I came back and took the dog on a 5 mile walk through the Dene and my foot felt pretty good. I was pleased that yesterdays' run on such an unforgiving terrain (tarmac) had not had a detrimental effect and my foot felt fine.
After that I did my deadlifts (an easier session to get me back into it) and found them very easy indeed! Bonus!

So, my foot has managed all that has been thrown at it this weekend without drugs/icing or resting. I have of course been on my little blue space ship 3 times.
I have also started working on visualisation techniques, and I have to say that at the end of the exercise I caught myself smiling...and that's never a bad thing!
