Yesterday I did an hour of deep water running intervals. Although the 10 minute intervals were a bit tough, the rest of it was totally fine. I got out of the pool and felt extremely drunk... I always class it as a good session the more pissed you feel. It's a strange sort of tiredness I get from working in water!
My walking became much better yesterday, and apart from walking too far at dinnertime and feeling a tad achy, my foot was relatively good. What a difference to Monday where I could not walk without limping.
I had a solid 9 hours sleep last night, which I don't think I have ever done. I'm one of those people with geriatric tendencies and can't go a whole night without needing the loo, so 9 hours is just awesome. Maybe all this deep water running is having a good effect on my sleep. That is the thing I love about training.... better sleep and food just seems to taste much better!
This morning I am not wearing my metatarsal pad. I will take it in my bag just in case I need it later today, but at the moment my foot feels better than it has done for about 8 weeks. And what with another 3 full days rest from running, I'm hoping when I have another go on Saturday I will feel back to normal. Yay for cortisone!
