Tonight on my way home from work I saw loads of runners, all out in the beautiful sunshine. My ex husband used to call these people "fair weather runners" and he abhorred them as they would not be the type to run if it was pouring down with rain. I have to say however, that even the sun didn't bring his trainers out of the cupboard... he was more of a weight training sort of person.
Well, irrelevant of why they were running today, I was very jealous of every single one of them.
After stopping off to take care of the dog, I went to the swimming baths to do my deep water running. I wore my ankle weights again and I have to say I felt a little disappointed with the session as I didn't get out of breath at all. My foot felt a little dodgy after about half an hour (like it was going to cramp up) so I finished at 40 minutes. Getting home, I had some tuna pasta and after half an hour or so I did my core session, which I'm pleased to say I'm improving on. I actually managed to rock properly for the rocking horse exercise and have improved on the air borne running too.
I spoke to Graeme about todays DWR, and he seems to think I'm just getting fitter and so finding it easier. What did surprise me today was looking at my training for the month. I feel like I haven't done anything, but looking at my log I've done more than I realised!
