A small price to pay

The last 2 days have been absolutely awful. I was so ill when I got home on Tuesday night, that I lay on the bathroom floor unable to move. By the time Graeme got home from work I was feeling so sick and achy that I went straight to bed with 2 panadol and a sick bucket.
Yesterday wasn't so grand either. I went to work, only to last until 10am. I was in bed by 10.35. As my podiatrist appointment was at 4pm I had to get out of bed and go. He looked at my foot again and said he honestly couldn't determine whether I had neuritis or it had manifested into a neuroma. He finally found the "actual" painful spot, which was good as I have had a lot of referred pain, and proceeded to give me the most painful acupuncture I have ever experienced. He gave me a removable pad so that it doesn't stop me doing deep water running and promised to phone me today after speaking to his colleagues and my physiotherapist.

Tonight he phoned to say he had spoken to a few of his colleagues, the colleague who does the cortisone injections/surgery and he had looked some stuff up on the Internet. He is fairly confident that a cortisone injection will do the trick, however the earliest I can go for that is next Wednesday. I almost fainted after asking how much the cortisone injection would cost and got the reply it would be around £95. But hey... for what I will get out of it, I reckon it's a very small price to pay.

Work went well today... only 5 grand to sell and fit before the end of the month and I may win that trip after all :-)
