Metatarsals

The physio appointment today went well. I should call him "Mr Magic" because he sorts out the problem every time for me. Today he said the issue was the fact that the heads of my metatarsals were not gliding smoothly and I had a touch of bursitis too. So, I had acupuncture and he worked on my foot for the duration of the appointment, which caused no discomfort whatsoever, however, standing up afterwards felt quite awkward and painful which is to be expected. He has shown me a way of doing the eccentric exercises on that leg also! I was delighted when he told me he couldn't believe how toned I was since he saw me a few weeks ago. He's a huge advocate of interval training and said he thinks this will have had a huge bearing on it.

I got an email from Shaun today, mentioning a few things and asking me a few questions. My training will be changing after Grantham, but he mentioned a few exercises... stuff like "Hindu Press", and "Wrestlers Bridge". I looked them up on YouTube, and was most pleased with myself as I found the Hindu press quite easy. The wrestler one looks very difficult... I'll wait for instruction on that before I even attempt it I think.

And we have a new addition to the family... and you know when it's a new addition to our brood you know it ain't a child :-) No, it's a Marcy weight bench with all the trimmings. Graeme is currently putting it together. I haven't heard a single swear word yet either... maybe he's getting used to doing this sort of thing? Oops... spoke to soon... he's just said "Ahhh...Fuck off!"
