Running ragged

Wow, life just seems to be flying past me at the moment. I don't seem to have time to breathe! I can't quite believe that this time next week I will be on a plane to Pisa. Florence has had some fabulous reports from everyone I meet, young and old... so I think it will be a fabulous place, and a great weekend.

I've had my usual lack of motivation for training (which I now know is nerves creeping up on me), however I am happy with the majority of my training, especially getting to 18 miles this time around! I only wish that I hadn't hurt my back, as this has put payed to any strength training for the past month or so. Amazing how there's always something to knock you back isn't it? As long as nowt happens from now until next Sunday and I'll be happy. I will just have to do plenty of strength stuff once I'm over the aches of the marathon.

Lincoln is a little live wire, and runs right through the whole bottom floor of the house over and over again. Boy does that dog have some energy! I'm looking forward to being able to take him for a walk as he is far too energetic a dog to contend with playing in the house and the yard. He is learning to sit and stay and seems to be very clever. No wonder the police use German Shepherds for their work.
He is running out of his food, so I have to go to the meat suppliers on the way home from work today and stock up. He absolutely loves raw chicken wings!

This weekend should be good, it will be nice to only have a one hour run instead of three hours. Looking back, each weekend has been slowly getting longer and longer duration for the running with my vest on... so it will feel most strange to cut right back. I seem to be aching everywhere, and I've hardly done anything this week!
