What a day I've had!
My receptionists have a meeting in Newcastle today, so a temp was supposed to come in. The temp didn't turn up, so i have literally been running around like a blue arse fly testing peoples' hearing, answering phones, servicing hearing aids, answering the door to walk in clients... phew, the list goes on.
On the plus side, I was dreading today, because having a temp in normally causes more work in the long run, however it is now done and it has made my day fly by.
However... everything is all sorted now, and I know for the next one and a half hours there will be no phone calls, nobody calling in, and nothing to do. I'm typing this as I fight the uncontrollable urge to eat the full box of Thorntons chocolates in the fridge (given to me by a client because I'm super smashingly fabulous)!!!
Plus, I don't want any time to drag today... I meet my puppy in 4 hours time and I need that time to whizz by because I'm very excited! How do I pick one of the boys... who do I leave out? Will it be obvious which of the two dogs should be mine?
I have just got an email from Shaun about my training. It's going to be revised after GER with tougher stuff ready for the build up to next years ultra. I must be extremely sadistic, (or possibly insane) as I am really looking forward to seeing what my next training challenges will be. I just want to push and push and see how far I can go.
It appears I may have possibly being pushing a bit too far recently however, as I also received an email earlier in the week from William saying I had gone back to my training too quick after my 10K and to give myself more time in future. I suppose I just thought of the race as another tough days training, but looking back on my notes, it had definitely tired me out more than usual.
So... writing this has got me through almost half an hour, a decaff coffee and only 1 Thorntons chocolate... Now, what to do for the next hour....
