Well I never!!!

I have been panicking a little bit about doing this marathon paced running of 10 minute mileing... after all, the only times I have ever got close to that sort of pace (which has only been 3 times) were all during races... my fastest being a pace of 9.56 for a 10K last year.

After having such an awful day yesterday, it made me even more worried about coping with the speed today. Luckliy I woke up feeling so much better this morning, and so as soon as I came in from work tonight, I went out for a run.

I felt quite good for the first couple of miles, and decided that I really would try and stick to 10mm even on the up or downhills, which I seemed to do fairly well.
The last 2 miles I found rather tiring, however did the 6 mile run in 59.26... the fastest I have EVER ran over that distance. Can you believe, it was even 2 seconds a mile faster than my 10K pace??

The question is, could I do that for another 20 miles? Not today I couldn't. Has it made me feel more confident? Yes... I think it has :-)
