Pathetic

Todays' session went terribly. I gave it up as a bad job after 24 minutes when I accidentally knocked the "clear" button on the treadmill and it came to a standstill. Sometimes things just don't go the way you want them to!

I was totally livid, and I think that's why my head wasn't in it. Graeme started a new job yesterday where his brother works. Today he got jibed and belittled because Paul "kicks his arse" when they do a race. Apparently he was also pathetic for running with me at Cockermouth instead of racing him... who does he think he is? Graeme has only done 3 or 4 races and NOT ran with me. Running is our thing... it's our hobby, our social life and a thing that we do together. Let me tell you, it beats getting rat arsed and fat sitting at home in front of the TV!
Graeme told me how everyone was giving him shit because Paul had said how much faster he is. Graeme said he literally took the enjoyment out of running and he didn't want to do any more races.

It made me snap! I text Paul tonight and told him he's on his own as we won't be going to any races with him in future. I also told him that I know some extremely fast runners.... runners who are very galant in their achievements and would not even consider putting somebody else down.

It's wierd, but in the running world, although there is a lot of competitiveness, I've never met anyone who goes on like Paul does! He'll run out of friends if he carries on though.

  1. That's not nice :(
Is Paul just trying to prove himself in front of his work mates? I hope Graeme will tell him where to stick it! G is not allowed to give up racing - we'd miss him far too much.
    Big hugs to you bothxx
