Circuits today comprised of:-
Jumping burpees with jab, bent over row, high knees, lunge with 3KG shoulder press, sprinting on the spot, v twists, step ups, squats with 5KG bicep curl, hill climbing and finally chest press with 3KG dumbells.
The exercises were done for 30 seconds, then 1 minute 10 with 10 second recoveries, 1 minute blast with 30 second recoveries and a final set of 30 seconds.
I was most pleased to finally manage a whole minute of hill climbing without stopping (first time I have managed to do that today). I definitely feel like I've had a bit of a fitness boost too... what with how I managed yesterdays XL run, and then how much better I was in circuits today.
This afternoon I finally got to use my new olympic bar and did my deadlifts at home. After reading an email from Shaun on straight leg deadlifts and the benefits, I decided to do this today (as I've been doing them with bent knees previously).
I did 15 reps @ 25KG warm up, 12 reps @ 35KG, 8 reps @ 45KG, 6 reps @ 50KG, 4 reps @ 55KG and a final very dodgy 2 reps @ 60KG.
This is also the best I've managed deadlifts, and by the end my legs and back were very shaky. My forearms were absolutely killing too!
