I went out to do my 7 miles tonight, and although it felt a bit more laboured than it should, it was nice to get back out again.
It was absolutely freezing and when I got home I spent about half an hour lying in the bath trying to warm up. Having a chicken kebab cheered me up no end. I was supposed to have bean soup but really needed something more filling, so the huge amount of chicken was a welcome alternative.
I'm sure I will sleep much better now I'm running again. The planned weekly mileage is around 46 miles which shouldn't be a problem as long as I eat and rest well.
