I've left the Lotus Casino

Ever seen Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief? They go to a casino and have the best time ever. Life and goals seem far away in the distant and they live in the moment. It's only when they stop eating the Lotus flowers when they get back into the real world and life's goals are reignited and time becomes of the essence again.

Well... This has been me over the last 2 or 3 months... I've lived in party mode and genuinely not cared about anything running wise. I've been a social butterfly but after a fabulous night out (which was always my intention) on Halloween, I finally put down the Lotus flowers (or wine in my case!) and I can confirm I have left the casino. Just as well really, because through the haze of a hangover yesterday, I got an email from Shaun with some tough stuff coming up with my training. I'm to do an easy week next week then BAM straight back to it and then some extra stuff each day.

So, next up is Finland 24 hour race in February and it's all already paid for. And I'm ready and looking forward to doing some training for it. :-)
