Nerves?

Errrmmm.... no, the nerves are currently missing. This isn't like me. Every now and again I get a little wobble and feel a little apprehensive, but mostly I'm ok. The bad news is, despite avoiding all people with a cold over the last few days, I find I have a sore throat and tonight I've started sneezing. I'm not going to panic, although it's probably my own fault because I ran in torrential rain last week! Anyhow, I'm drugged up to the eyeballs with paracetomol and am taking so much vitamin c I fear my bowels are going to protest before long! I made the mistake of having Solpadeine before going to bed last night and ended up wide awake for 2 hours. I got up at 3am and took more (not thinking anything of it) and stayed awake for another 2 hours. On my way to work, I took 2 more (see... I told you I was drugged up!) and sat in the car in a traffic jam feeling completely wired. My legs jittering and feeling like I should go to a rave instead of work. I looked at the ingredients to see quite a high amount of caffeine. Caffeine is something I never take in tablets/gels or anything apart from coffee. It made me think that maybe if I'm absolutely shattered on Saturday night they will maybe keep me awake... lol!

So, I have packed everything for the race already and I'm now about to tend to my feet and file all of my toenails down. The weather is going to be changeable and very cold at night, so I have everything I need ready to go in a bag. A few people have given me a "prediction" in miles of how I'm going to do, so I'm hopefully going to work my way through the targets (one of them is very low... seems my son has "absolutley no idea, so it's a guess".... Aren't they all? I have no idea either).

So, I'm off to Kent tomorrow and I'm strangely looking forward to it. :-)
