That's what the physio said to me today. Yesterday my ankle felt great and today I woke up to find it felt iffy, despite doing nothing to cause any adverse effects yesterday. He pressed the exact part that ached and told me it is the insertion part of the tendon (what he thought last week too) and said it was genuinely nothing to worry about. At the end of the appointment, after I'd unloaded all of my worries about getting another injury, he stood in front of me, looked me straight in the eyes and told me I needed to stop panicking.
I'm to run for 30 minutes on Friday... even if it still doesn't feel so grand, and he told me I need to chill out. He said he could understand my panicked state because of all of the injury time I've had this year, but it was time to put it all behind me, because I've got everything in place to do well with all the races I've got planned from now on with the 2:1 run/walk ratio I'm about to adopt.
So... I'm looking forward to Friday when I can give it a go. Maybe I really
am stressing over nothing! I hope so!
