Wow... It really has been incredible, but it's time to leave. We have had the best time, met some of the nicest and most hospitable people and I hope one day we will return. I can't hand on heart say I will ever want to do the race again, but I'm glad I broke my ultra virginity on a course with weather conditions that none could call easy.
Today I am walking like a cross between an old and pregnant woman. I can't get up or down steps and inclines in the road have me turning in the opposite direction. I haven't felt miserable today... More proud I suppose, despite not being able to "run" as such. I sat by the pool and wrote my race report on paper while it was still 'raw' in my head. It took me 3 hours, so be prepared to give up an hour or so to read it when I get back home and get the time to type it up.
So, goodbye India. You truley are incredible, and I shall treasure the memories that I will take home with me.
