Starvin Marvin

MY GOD... I'm starving... I've been starving since I did my squats on Wednesday and quite frankly that feeling had not gone away until today, only to resurface this afternoon an hour after doing deadlifts.
I can't begin to account for all the food I have eaten, and I'm like a crazed woman that hasn't had food for days... I open the fridge and paunch fruit while I make something else. No sooner have I eaten my tea and I'm back looking for something else, and when I'm not eating I'm thinking about eating.

Some time ago (which I had forgotten about) Shaun had sent me an email saying my appetite could possibly increase with some of the weight training I'm doing. I have recalled that 'memo' as I sit shoveling any food that is close to hand down my neck! With this newly found hunger, I have been to the shops tonight and bought a lot of fruit and healthy sorts of snacks because I will just end up eating rubbish if I don't think and plan ahead.

Deadlift partials today were so much harder than the squats. I managed the sets of 10 but they were quite hard. The static lifts weren't anywhere near as difficult as I imagined and I managed to hold 95KG for 10 seconds without much of a problem. I finished the session off with 30 minutes in the sauna with my head inside for the whole time. I think it is now time to block the head hole up and keep the heat in, as I actually found the first 20 minutes of todays' session quite enjoyable and comfortable. Whoever would have thought it eh?

Tomorrow we start our new yoga class (after I've done an hour run and my core exercises). My mam said she may consider giving it a go in a few weeks too. She did 3.04 miles today. We were meant to do 2.5 but as we got to a certain point I asked did she just want to make it up to 3. There was no hesitation at all as she nodded, quite pleased we were going that far. When we got home, I explained that it is a cut back week next week and she is only to do 1 mile on each running day. She was very disappointed and said could she not do 1.5 miles at the weekend. So, after finding out her mid week runs will be going up to 2 miles each day and the weekend run 4 miles, she realised why she needed an easy week before the big push. Good on her though... now I know where I get it from. :-)
