It was my area meeting today, and I am now the only female in a room of 20 odd blokes. This throws up a lot of sexual innuendo and basically a lot of laughing all day, because they genuinely make me giggle.
I am sorting a training plan out for one of them, and as we were chatting I mentioned how a bit of strength training could help. Another person listening in added that he had noticed I had a decent pair of "guns" for a lass, and this resulted in me telling them about the little black lace number that was going back to the shop because I looked too masculine in it. So, a few more people added in their two penneth and said that muscles looked great and maybe I should try it on again before sending it back.
So, tonight I got home and did my stepping and core exercises (they are getting much easier now) and after a bath told Graeme what they had said at work and IF I tried the dress on would he give me his honest opinion... honest because the dress is £200 and it would be a massive waste if he lied and said it was nice just to keep the peace.
So, I put it on and walked downstairs. I needn't have worried about an untruth... his eyes nearly popped out of his head as he said I looked absolutely gorgeous. I was very flattered. I'm keeping the dress!
I went straight to my mams house tonight after the meeting. Her new Garmin has finally come and she is itching to get out for a run with it but needed me to show her how to work it. She has ran this week completely on her own and I joked to my dad that I wasn't needed anymore now she has her Garmin! I still remain very proud of her! While I was there, she said that my brother had rang her to ask about my running. A while ago I mentioned I would run at some time for his friends charity (I believe it is Homes for Heroes). He rang tonight to say that if I'm still interested, the bloke who runs the charity will sponsor me and pay for everything... clothes, trainers ... the lot! I'm almost sure my brother has the wrong end of the stick... who in their right mind would pay for my gear, however I will find out when I speak to him next week!
