A manky mut

Yesterday I did my core session and felt pretty terrible. I'd had an awful headache all day and I think doing the core exercises just finished me off. On the plus side, I managed to do double the time on the air borne running than I normally manage and despite my back feeling a little tender after Sundays' deadlifts, I did the whole session quite well. I have to say though, my inner thighs were really suffering from DOMS and today they weren't much better.

This afternoon after work I decided to attempt another thing I haven't been able to do for weeks.... walk the dog along the beach banks! It is 3.87 miles... I know this because I sometimes run it. Today I wore my new trail shoes to see how comfortable they are and I'm pleased to say they are fantastic. For the first time ever I can imagine running for miles in a trail shoe. Yay for Adidas Kandida!!!

The dog looked very hot towards the end of the walk, so as he ventured towards a small water filled trench I thought nothing of it... to my horror I looked on as not only did he lie down in the muddy water, but he then proceeded to roll in it. At one point he got up and I didn't have a black dog anymore... he was a dark muddy brown. I could have killed him. Getting back home and bathing him, I ended up looking as mucky as he did when he shook again and again and again!
And as for the foot... it did well. Tomorrow I will know for sure just how well it has coped, but it's looking good!
