Calories and cat scans

Today, calorie counting went out of the window. It just doesn't work for me and makes me feel very lethargic. Maybe I need more calories because of the training I do, I don't know... what I do know is every time I try to be careful about what I eat it always has a detrimental effect. So, back to normal today... no weighing out rice, I just ate it all :-) God, it's great to be back to normal.

I went for a run this evening and got blown left right and centre. It was a nightmare. The last 3 miles running straight into the wind was painful. I even turned my face to the side trying to breathe, but when I got back I was really pleased that I'd got out and done it.

Graeme was at home when I got back. I'd had an awful day waiting to hear his news. I was even tempted to not go for a run just so I could be in when he got home from the hospital, but then thought better of it... at least if I was out running, I could temporarily take my mind off it all instead of clock watching and waiting for him to come through the door.
So, I walked into the house after my run and looked at him quizzically. He's in a lot of pain because of what they have put him through today, but last weeks cat scan came back clear (bladder fine) and todays prostrate, bladder (and whatever else they check for) was also clear. We're so relieved. One of my clients came in today and told me about how they discovered cancer of the bladder and it made me feel even more worried all day. So, it's all good, because he doesn't have it. :-) If ever you pee blood, get it checked out... sometimes it can be a huge relief just to find out everything is A-OK!!!
