Better than sex

Much to Graemes' disgust... that is how I currently view my gym in the loft.
The new treadmill is absolutely awesome, and has a really wide belt compared to my last one. It has "quick set" buttons that move the speed and incline to whatever you need quickly (ie, if it needs to go from 2 miles an hour to 10 miles an hour, it's just one click of a button to get you there fast without pressing continuously). Same with the incline. Graeme put it on 12% and it was fab.

It can also move in single steps for speed too... so moving from 2.2 to 2.3 for instance, has a heart rate facility which is super fast (literally put your hands on the sensors and it records it straight away... unlike all the ones I've seen in gyms around here that can take up to a minute to register.
I love it, and it's going to be a huge help in my training.

And this is my power cage, along with Olympic barbell and squat buster cushiony thing to stop me getting a broken neck from the weight of the bar on my shoulders. I have to say that using this on Wednesday gave me much more confidence and I was able to attempt weight that I previously wouldn't have dared consider.
We also got the floor mat free of charge with the treadmill, which is great because the height of the hole for getting the barbell onto my shoulders is just a minuscule too high without it... with the mat there it is perfect!

So, all I need to do now is use my vibrating machine more for rehab and massage stuff and do some upper body stuff too (seeing as I have all the equipment to do it now). Graeme wants a bench so he can do more stuff with the power cage, so he's looking for a one that will incline and decline. I would use the decline position for stomach exercises... I used to do those years ago and got quite strong!
The only thing left to do now is get my foot sorted. It's getting a little better every day but it's still not right. I didn't even dare try the treaddie out today and left Graeme to have a go instead. Hopefully the physio will spot something glaringly obvious on Wednesday and give me an exercise to do that will stop the pain in my foot reoccurring. I had an email from William about my bursitis kicking off every time I move up in speed a little, with a very simple solution... "Do your eccentric exercises twice a week to keep this at bay". Doh... why didn't I think of that?
