Recovery

I had to take the day off work today. I never stay off work, but I felt pretty rough.
It's now mid afternoon and I'm feeling absolutely loads better... good job really, as they had to call a field dispenser into my branch to take over for the day and I don't intend staying away tomorrow too!

I've been waiting for nearly 2 months to order some more of my recovery drink (I ran out of it about 4 weeks ago and have had to resort to alternatives). After being so ill yesterday, Graeme and I discussed how I always get ill when I don't use my recovery drink of choice (Ultragen). I have been trying the For Goodness Shakes, which I know a lot of people swear by, but it just doesn't seem to be doing much good for me. Coming home from GER, I took one of the shakes out of the fridge and read the ingredients in comparison to the Ultragen and realised that I normally have 400% RDA of Vitamin C and Vitamin E... For Goodness Shakes only has 5% RDA Vit C and no Vitamin E at all (According to the write up for Ultragen that I read last year, you need vitamin E so the body can absorb the vitamin C properly).
I tried again to order the Ultragen, only to find the British stockist has gone out of business. Gutted! I looked on numerous US websites, all stocking the stuff I needed, however not one of them would deliver to the UK.

I emailed William to ask their advice because I was at a loss what to do. He could only recommend Myprotein as it is the only one he has ever used, and so sent me the link. It looked pretty good and was half the price of what I would pay for Ultragen. It didn't have Vitamin E in it, however they sold that separately for £3, so jobs a good 'un!

I'm now hoping that I will be back feeling well soon. I'm so much better than this morning, so I think taking today off was probably the best thing! At the Doctors this morning, they said there was a lot of bugs going around and it was rife at the moment with everyone dropping like flies. Trust it to happen to me this weekend though!
