It's amazing isn't it? You have a couple of days with no training and you instantly feel like your body has turned to lard!
Today is a scheduled rest day which is normally spent at the spa but we didn't get the chance to go as we were too busy. Yesterday I went for a meal with my mam and a few friends (which was lovely, but I didn't get a chance to do my easy 45 minute run).
I am supposed to be easing my way back into my training this week... but this is a bit too easy! I have all my gear sorted ready for tomorrow to do a bike session straight after work, so that will be me officially back into the routine!
I found out today that Florence has water in cups *panic* ...however, I have it under good authority that they fill the cups up from small bottles of water and they are quite happy to give you the bottle if you ask. Now... I just need to learn the Italian translation!!!
I'm looking forward to my XL long run this weekend, it seems ages since I wore the vest and I'm determined to push myself harder while wearing it. If I can run the route without a walk break without the vest, then I can bloody well run with it!
I was looking at ultra marathons today on the Internet, spurred on by the fact the Comrades entries opened yesterday. I hadn't realised how many there were, and how diverse they are in their distances, surfaces and locations. It'll be fun picking my first 50K (when I'm eventually ready!)
Per favore, posso avere la bottiglia?
