Rope

Today, I stood in my kitchen on the wood floor and I skipped... without rope!
I must have looked like a total loon, but after being asked could I skip.. I had to say no! Graeme looked at me puzzled when I said this, as he thinks skipping is easy, however the burning question is "Does he do it properly?"

I've had lots of emails from Shaun and William this week, following up with questions about different things for my training programme. One of these questions involved the skipping, and when I said I wasn't sure, I got a massive email back with details of exactly how it should be done. I have to say 30 seconds knackered me out and had my calves burning, so it's going to take a while to master (even without the rope which is what is recommended at first).

So, I've had questions about power cages and squat stands, which when I read them out to Graeme had him saying "Oooohhhh God, that sounds well hard". He's such a wimp, his take on things is you should spend the least amount of time doing training because it's so boring.

I'm pleased to say I didn't get any DOMS after Mondays circuits, so hopefully I'm getting a bit stronger (3 weeks ago I could barely move the next day after doing an easier session). I haven't ran this week yet, life has sort of got in the way. Hopefully we will join the spa this weekend and I will get going on the training plan. I'm really looking forward to it.
