Oh my God, I'm so excited.
Last night, we trawled through the internet looking at personality qualities of various dogs... would they be able to withstand the long distance running, would they be able to be socialised to the point where they ignore other dogs and keep running instead of gallivanting off down the field.
When we realised Siberian Huskies would prefer to lick a burglar to death than protect it's owner... Graeme conceded that the best choice, (due to me running through secluded woods and denes) was my favourite breed... a German Shepherd!
Luckily for me, I have a good friend who is a breeder, so one phone call was enough to find out I could have pick of the litter... but the puppies haven't even been conceived yet. I'm wanting a long haired black and gold boy... and we're going to call him Claude!
So, roll on October when he will be ours!
