OK, so the targeted mileage for this week has been done.
I'm most surprised not to be totally dead on my feet with every part of my body aching... instead I feel quite lively and my body doesn't feel like it's done anything much out of the ordinary. A lot of fellow "Hadders" have really huge jumps in mileage from one week to the next, as the low intensity allows that, but I have been fairly rigid with the 10% rule. I admit this week to have jumped up more than that, from a previous weeks total, however next week is only about 8% increase, and then the mileage goes down due to my taper ready for London.
Graeme is feeling a lot better today, and apparently Paul kept his son awake all night by moaning every time he turned over in bed, with aches and pains from the run.
I now have to work out a 24 mile route. My God... that's a long way for a training run. I'll probably have to run from the other side of Middlesbrough or something. Nightmare!
